WHY YOU SHOULD CONTINUE YOUR ICAN EXAMS
If you read this blog post, you have likely written the ICAN exams a long time ago or are thinking of stopping after failing the exams a few times. Well, I’m sure you have heard the saying that “Quitters never win, and winners never quit”. I’m not a motivational speaker and I’m not here to motivate you. If you find motivation and/or inspiration from what I write, good for you if not, too bad. I can categorically tell you that I have seen and heard many stories about how some people became Chartered Accountants. While some stories make the exams look so easy, some others could be very discouraging. I won’t share any of those stories in this article. Whatever you will become in this life is not dependent on how another person did it, it depends solely on how you will do it.
You can read the last line of the last paragraph again and again and understand what I’m trying to say. Because your friend that you graduated from the same school, in the same year, with the same grade passed her exams once does not necessarily mean it will be the same story for you and this is not a reason to quit your ICAN journey. You need to learn that “FAILURE” is not an end but a means to “SUCCESS”. If you have read about successful people, there is hardly any one of them that didn’t encounter “FAILURE” on their journey to becoming successful. One passage I might never forget in my life was titled “May Your Road Be Rough”. We read this passage in NEW PRACTICAL ENGLISH in my final year in Senior Secondary School. In summary, the passage talks about the obstacles one faces in becoming successful in life. It further explains how successful people tread on this rough road to become successful. At this point, I don’t want to bore you so much with stories. I like to keep things brief and precise.
My point here is that forget about what you have faced while writing the exams of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Dust yourself, brace up, and face the challenge. You are definitely more intelligent than you think, and you obviously have what it takes to become a Chartered Accountant. You need to stop giving excuses on why you have stopped taking the exams. Work and family are not enough reason of achieving this feat. I have seen people with extremely busy schedule and family commitments pass their exams at first attempt. We have made preparation for the ICAN exams easy at ICAN Online Tutors. Completing this journey is one that you will never regret in your life. The failures or challenges you encountered will not be written on your certificate. You will hold the same certificate and acronym (ACA) as others. I want you to challenge yourself today that you will do everything to earn this prestigious certificate.
